Summary

Duties
- DO-2210-02 - Position duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for guiding a team in the daily operations of scientific networks, servers, client support administration, telecommunications, wireless communications, software license management and central computer facility. Establishes performance standards and evaluates performance for the branch. Provides professional competence in applying foundations of information technology in the support and management of network architectures that satisfy the laboratory's scientific research missions integrating DoD, Air Force, AFMC, AFRL, and local requirements to maximize and provide continuous, leading edge computing capabilities. Helps manage and oversee network architecture planning, project schedules, software and hardware testing and integration, resource allocation, and IT project costs, including hardware and software requirements. Accomplishes additional duties as assigned to support the greater AFRL mission.
Qualifications
Series 2210 Office of Personnel Management (OPM): General Schedule Qualification Standards (opm.gov). To qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DO-01 (GS-11) broadband. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the positions to be filled. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities KSA's: Problem Solving Communication Business Management Teamwork and Leadership Desired Qualifications (The following will be used to help rate and rank eligible candidates): Excellent written and oral communication skills. Certified IAM Level I within the DoD Approved 8570 requirements. Significant knowledge of project management within the DOD environment. Ability to apply IT security principles, methods, and security products throughout the system life cycle management process. Experience in a supervisor role and/or leading teams. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Information Security, Software Development or equivalent. Specialized experience providing the capacity and skills for working independently, leading collaborative events, working in teams and using these approaches to find and solve complex problems. Such experience may also include training, collaborative process facilitation, innovation design practice.
