Location Requirement: Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Mullica Hill, NJ, and Bordentown, NJ, as onsite presence at these locations will be required periodically, typically a few days per month based on business needs.
Role And Responsibilities
The Human Resources Business Partner provides HR consultation and support to assigned business areas and works closely with leaders and employees to align people practices with organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Partner with managers and business leaders to understand workforce needs and provide practical HR guidance aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, employee relations, performance, benefits, and other workplace matters.
- Support employee relations matters, including gathering information, documenting concerns, identifying appropriate next steps, and escalating complex or high-risk matters as appropriate.
- Coach and support managers in areas such as performance management, employee development, communication, feedback, and workplace expectations.
- Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding processes to promote a consistent and positive employee experience.
- Assist with workforce planning, organizational changes, employee engagement initiatives, and talent-development efforts.
- Administer and support HR programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and Company requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data and support HR reporting, metrics, and workforce analytics.
- Identify workforce trends and recommend practical solutions that support employee engagement, retention, compliance, and business performance.
- Support benefits, leave administration, payroll-related employee changes, and other HR operational processes as assigned.
- Partner with leadership and other business functions to support organizational initiatives and change-management efforts.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and Company information.
- Assist with other HR initiatives and responsibilities as business needs evolve.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 2-4 years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner capacity.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, recruiting/onboarding, and general HR operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, growing environment.
- Experience working with HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
- Experience supporting a government contractor, defense organization, engineering organization, or other highly regulated environment.
- Experience supporting employees across multiple states.
- Experience with HR metrics, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.

Pay Transparency Notice - New Jersey
In accordance with applicable New Jersey pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is $76,000-$95,000 annually. This range reflects the compensation Thunderbolt Solutions reasonably anticipates paying for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
