CMM Engineer (card merchant Management) in banking/Fintech domain

We have an urgent requirement for CMM Engineer (card merchant Management) in banking/Fintech domain with our client based in Bahrain.

• Strong experience on ACI CMM Platform Expertise is MUST
• Strong exp on Merchant Acquiring Domain & Settlement Workflow - POS acquiring lifecycle, merchant onboarding workflows, pricing/fee structures, and end-to-end settlement & reconciliation is MUST
• Strong exp on Oracle Database, SQL/PL-SQL & Linux/Unix is MUST
• Strong exp on experience integrating payment systems with payment switches (e.g., Postilion), core banking systems (e.g., T24), and middleware is MUST

We are seeking a technical and hands-on CMM Engineer with deep expertise in the ACI Card and Merchant Management (CMM) platform and the broader electronic payments ecosystem. The ideal candidate will drive the design, development, customization, and system integration of core acquiring workflows—including merchant onboarding, terminal management, fee management, and settlement/reconciliation processes. You will play a critical role in bridging payment operations, backend development, and cross-platform integrations within a high-performance delivery environment.

• Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Platform Customization & Development

• Design, develop, and customize functionalities within the ACI CMM platform aligned with business and operational requirements.
• Deliver technical enhancements across merchant onboarding, merchant hierarchy management, terminal management, settlement & reconciliation, fee management, merchant reporting, and risk/compliance workflows.
• Perform code changes, configuration updates, and system parameterization within the CMM environment.
• Build scalable, reusable technical modules adhering to enterprise standards.

System Integration & Architecture

• Integrate ACI CMM seamlessly with external systems including payment switches (e.g., Postilion), core banking systems (e.g., T24), middleware platforms (TIBCO, ESB, APIs), payment gateways, POS management systems, and fraud monitoring tools.
• Develop and manage APIs, batch interfaces, and file-based integrations.
• Support ISO8583-related messaging and end-to-end acquiring transaction flows.

Database & Backend Engineering

• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects (Oracle/SQL).
• Lead data analysis, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and technical reconciliation support.
• Handle migration activities, data transformation, and bulk data processing tasks.

Mandatory Technical Skills (Must-Haves)

• Core Platform Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on technical experience specifically on the ACI CMM (Card and Merchant Management) platform / ACI CMM Backoffice.
• Database & Backend: Strong proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, Linux/Unix environments, and Shell Scripting.
• Payment Standards & Protocols: Solid working knowledge of ISO8583 messaging, EMV concepts, payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), and PCI-DSS standards.
• Integration Experience: Demonstrated background in API integrations (REST/SOAP), batch processing, and file handling.

Preferred Technical Skills & Stack

• Development exposure to Cobol, Java, or J2EE.
• Direct experience integrating with Postilion, T24 Core Banking, and enterprise middleware platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Functional & Domain Knowledge

• Comprehensive understanding of the merchant acquiring domain, POS acquiring lifecycle, settlement cycles, chargeback/dispute management, and pricing/fee structures
