Director of Data Center Operations

IDR is seeking a Director of Data Center Operations to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in the Lubbock, TX area. This role involves leading the strategic and operational management of a mission-critical data center campus, ensuring high availability and reliability of infrastructure. The company operates within the technology and data services industry, focusing on delivering mission-critical solutions and supporting large-scale data center operations.

Position Overview for the Director of Data Center Operations:

• Lead the day-to-day and strategic operations of a growing, mission-critical data center campus.
• Oversee performance, reliability, and operational strategy across multiple facilities.
• Manage vendors, customer expectations, and ensure strict compliance with uptime, safety, and operational standards.
• Develop management teams and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Lead initiatives for expansion, project support, and operational excellence.

Requirements for the Director of Data Center Operations:

• 10+ years of relevant mission-critical, facilities, or data center experience.
• Proven leadership experience in a senior operations/facilities leadership role.
• Experience managing multiple buildings, a campus, or cluster of facilities.
• Strong understanding of critical facilities and MEP infrastructure.
• Experience in a 24x7 mission-critical environment.
