Requirements
Proven experience as an Automation QA Lead, driving both automation strategy and the implementation/management of a Quality Management System (QMS).
Strong expertise in establishing and maintaining QMS standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, or financial regulatory compliance) within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience managing and mentoring QA teams while remaining hands-on with test execution, automation framework development, and quality compliance.
Deep understanding of QA practices, ensuring all functional, integration, API, UI, end-to-end, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing align with QMS guidelines and audit requirements.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
Experience assessing and optimizing existing test suites, identifying what should be reused, refactored, or automated, ensuring all test artifacts are fully documented and traceable per QMS standards.
Ability to create a comprehensive automation roadmap based on product risks, business priorities, QMS compliance gaps, technical feasibility, and ROI.
Strong background in CI/CD integration, test planning, defect management, release readiness, and generating quality metrics for compliance reporting.
Expert Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills for critical defects, including documenting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as part of the QMS.
Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to manage challenging clients and guide them through quality and compliance processes.
Job responsibilities
Lead the QA Team and oversee the QMS, actively driving test automation strategy while ensuring strict adherence to internal quality policies and industry compliance standards.
Define, implement, and continuously evolve the overall QA, Test Automation, and QMS Strategy.
Manage QMS documentation and processes, ensuring proper audit trails, traceability matrices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are maintained for all testing activities.
Assess current manual and automated test suites to determine which tests should be reused, enhanced, refactored, or newly automated to maximize coverage and compliance.
Develop and maintain a phased automation roadmap, prioritizing tests based on risk, business value, regulatory requirements, and maintainability.
Plan, execute, and document all testing activities (functional, integration, API, UI, end-to-end, regression, etc.) to ensure they meet the rigorous standards of the financial sector.
Lead the implementation of automated tests using Playwright or similar frameworks, integrating them seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines.
Manage, mentor, and train QA team members on both automation best practices and QMS adherence, remaining hands-on when required.
Drive defect triage and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), ensuring all critical defects are resolved and documented in alignment with QMS CAPA procedures.
Communicate quality status, compliance risks, and release readiness to stakeholders and the client, creating clear, audit-ready reports tailored to different audiences.
Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, automation, QMS maturity, and overall product quality.
