Senior Full Stack Developer — Enterprise Platform

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our clients are global enterprises — insurers, banks, consumer brands, medtech. They buy on the strength of the product and they close on the strength of everything around it: identity, access control, data residency, auditability, and a security review that stands up to their procurement team. You'd own that surface.
It isn't compliance theatre, and it isn't a checklist someone hands you. It's engineering: role-based access models that survive contact with a real corporate hierarchy, identity provisioned automatically through an enterprise identity stack, entitlement and usage accounting that holds up when a client wants to see spend by business unit, and a data architecture whose residency you can describe precisely to a regulator.
As a Swiss company selling to enterprises in the most demanding regulatory environments there are, we treat this as a product surface rather than paperwork — which is why it gets a dedicated engineer rather than a policy document.
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Own identity and access: SSO and SCIM provisioning against enterprise identity providers, RBAC, multi-tenant scoping and the permission model underneath — generalised once, rather than rebuilt per client
– Own data residency: know where every data flow and processing party sits across our services and clouds, and drive the architecture that keeps European data in Europe
– Make usage accountable — budget allocation, usage attribution, quota enforcement and reporting across tenants and their business units
– Build the security practice: threat modelling and secure design review as a normal part of shipping, vulnerability management, paved paths that make the secure option the easy one
– Support the sale — own the technical security material procurement teams ask for, and join the calls where it's discussed
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF
– 4+ years building production systems, with meaningful time on identity, access control, multi-tenancy or infrastructure
– SSO (SAML, OIDC) and ideally SCIM implemented against a real corporate identity provider — and knowing where the specification and the vendor disagree
– Full-stack reach: schema, backend services, admin interfaces, infrastructure
– Ability to reason about where data physically lives, which processors touch it, and what moving it costs — across more than one cloud
– Strong written communication; a significant part of the output of this role is prose a client's security team will read and accept
– AI tools as standard development practice
STRONG CANDIDATES MAY ALSO HAVE
– GDPR, Swiss FADP, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 in a cloud-native environment — having been through an audit, not just read about one
– Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) and GitOps practice
– Application security: threat modelling, secure design review, vulnerability management
– AI-specific security: prompt injection, data handling in LLM pipelines, processor agreements with model providers
– Having supported enterprise sales as an engineer, and not hated it
This isn't a security-officer position or a pure infrastructure position. It's a senior engineer who treats enterprise-readiness as a product surface and builds it properly — because at our size the alternative is that it gets built badly four times, once per client.
ABOUT DELTA LABS
Delta Labs uses AI to simulate and predict consumer behaviour at scale. We build Elaiia, a simulation engine that generates AI Twins — intelligent synthetic agents that mirror real consumer populations. Our clients use Elaiia to simulate customer decisions before committing to them: pricing strategies, product launches, campaign messaging, channel allocation. We replace surveys, focus groups, and intuition with simulation-based evidence.
We're a small, focused team and we intend to stay that way. We give people ownership, trust, and the autonomy to do their best work. We work with urgency and intellectual honesty and expect new team members to match our pace. We seek individuals who are curious, rigorous, and want their work to have demonstrable impact. If you're drawn to the idea of a small team building something that hasn't existed before, let's build together.
THE STACK
TypeScript frontend (Next.js/React), PostgreSQL, Python microservices, durable background jobs, integrated LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini), LangGraph agents with tracing. Deployed on Vercel and Microsoft Azure.
LOCATION
This role is based in Zürich, Switzerland. Delta Labs is an in-person company. Candidates are expected to be located in the Zürich area or open to relocation.
BENEFITS
Ownership of systems rather than tickets. Direct work with a research team of unusual depth — behavioural scientists, experimental economists, psychometricians and cognitive scientists whose methods you'd be building. A product global enterprises use for decisions that matter. The chance to shape an early-stage company.
Delta Labs is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds.
