Our client, a growing Financial Technology Infrastructure company based in Zurich, is looking for a Data Platform SRE to improve the availability, observability, and resilience of the infrastructure powering large-scale streaming and analytical workloads.

You'll work at the intersection of Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and SRE, applying reliability principles to Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake, and the services connecting them.

What You'll Work On

• Improve reliability and availability across production data infrastructure

• Operate and optimise large-scale Kafka workloads

• Define SLIs, SLOs, and reliability standards for critical data services

• Build observability and alerting using Prometheus

• Develop operational and reliability tooling in Python

• Operate data workloads across Kubernetes environments

• Provision and automate infrastructure using Terraform

• Improve reliability across Snowflake and analytical data workloads

• Automate recovery, remediation, and repetitive operational processes

• Investigate incidents across streaming, compute, storage, and data pipelines

• Improve capacity planning, performance, and failure recovery

• Partner with Data and Platform Engineers to design more resilient systems

Core Skills

• 4+ years in SRE, Data Platform Engineering, Platform Engineering, Data Infrastructure, or similar roles

• Kafka

• Kubernetes

• Python

• Prometheus

• Terraform

• Snowflake

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and production reliability
