Senior Data/Cloud Engineer

With a team of about 12.000 employees in 50 cities in Europe, adesso is one of the leading IT providers in the German-speaking market. For the office of adesso SE in Sofia, Bulgaria we are looking for talented Senior Data/Cloud Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview:

The project focuses on consolidating existing data platforms into a single platform and developing cloud-based automation solutions for document management.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and continuously improve relational database infrastructure.
• Design and implement backup, failover, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation.
• Integrate and onboard new tools and components, such as Langfuse, CPAM, and Wiz.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability frameworks.
• Support incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and system reliability improvements.
• Provide technical guidance on governance, security, compliance, and architecture standards.

Your Qualifications:

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience with AWS or Azure; knowledge of the relevant enterprise cloud platform is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, cloud-native patterns, and GitOps.
• Experience with Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or comparable tools.
• Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent relational databases.
• Fluency in Python.
• Experience with networking and cloud security, including VPC, IAM, Security Groups, or Zero Trust.
• Knowledge of LLMs and RAG applications is an advantage.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
• German language is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
