Test Engineer (m/f/d)

• Creation of test plans, test specifications, and test data
• Support in the development of test strategies and the continuous improvement of manual and automated test processes
• Continuous development, maintenance, and optimization of test frameworks
• Design, implementation, and enhancement of an automated regression test suite
• Conducting and evaluating software tests at our offices and at our customers’ sites
• Creating test reports and statistics
• Fault localization and creation of clear, meaningful issue reports in close collaboration with software development
• Review and validation of system requirements with a focus on testability and quality
• Application of strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in executing both manual and automated tests, with the flexibility to switch between both as required
• Structured, analytical mindset, precise working style, proactive attitude and strong team orientation
• Solid knowledge of XML, XPath and XQuery
• Good understanding of network protocols and standards, including SOAP, REST and Web Services
• Experience with client–server architectures
• Experience in dealing with software and computer systems on different platforms (Windows, Linux)
• Experience with frontend test automation frameworks
• Practical experience with at least one programming or scripting language
• Experience with API test automation tools
• ISTQB certification or a successfully completed technical degree (computer science or similar) or equivalent professional experience as a test engineer
• Playwright desirable
• Practical experience with at least one programming or scripting language (preferably Python)
• Experience with API test automation tools (preferably SoapUI)
• Very good spoken and written English
• German skills are an advantage
