Indexed description

We are looking for a Community Specialist who is genuinely active in the ACGN (Anime, Comic, Games, Novels) / Nijigen scene and knows how to turn community insight, local relationships and on-ground execution into meaningful player engagement.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate online communities day to day, represent the brand at local events, build trusted relationships with creators and fan groups, and bring clear community feedback back to product, marketing and regional teams.

What You Will Do
  • Run day-to-day community operations for Vietnam across Discord, Facebook, TikTok, X, Instagram and other locally relevant platforms, including moderation, engagement and localised content.
  • Represent the brand at ACGN events such as conventions, cosplay competitions, doujin/artist markets, fan gatherings, meet-ups and watch parties; support booth presence, activations, fan interaction and on-site content capture.
  • Build and maintain a practical local network of cosplayers, artists, fan circles, communities, event organisers, convention operators and creators, with an up-to-date contact map that can be activated for campaigns and events.
  • Identify and recommend ACGN events worth attending, partnering with or sponsoring based on audience fit, expected impact and cost; support end-to-end execution once approved.
  • Recruit, brief and support volunteers, moderators, cosplayers and grassroots creators for campaigns, events and community initiatives.
  • Monitor local sentiment, trends, memes, complaints and emerging issues; escalate sensitive matters promptly to the Community Manager with context and recommended next steps.
  • Localise regional community and campaign plans so they feel natural in Vietnam without diluting the brand's core identity and positioning.
  • Collect player feedback, bugs, localisation issues and cultural risks and feed them to the Community Manager for coordination with Product and Marketing.
  • Coordinate with counterparts across SEA markets to exchange insight, cross-promote relevant activity and connect communities across borders where appropriate.
  • Support community events, giveaways, contests, cosplay and UGC initiatives from planning and briefing through execution, moderation and post-event reporting.
  • Maintain event recaps, community growth and engagement figures, sentiment notes, and creator/partner logs.
🔹 What We Are Looking For
  • 1–2+ years of experience in community management, community operations, events, social media, player support, or equivalent hands-on experience running ACGN community activities.
  • Active, verifiable participation in the Nijigen / ACGN scene — convention attendance, cosplay, doujin/fan-circle involvement, fan-group administration, meet-ups or event organisation. Please include specific examples in your application.
  • Demonstrable standing and reach within the local ACGN community. No minimum follower count is required; what matters is a real, contactable network and evidence that you can gather or mobilise community members.
  • Existing connections with ACGN communities in other SEA markets, such as cosplayers, organisers, circles or creators whom you can actually reach.
  • Direct experience participating in or helping run ACGN events in Southeast Asia is strongly preferred.
  • Deep familiarity with ACGN culture and anime-style games, especially gacha, open-world and long-service/live-service titles, including how IP, characters, content and creator activity influence player behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of local internet culture, memes and social trends, with the ability to adapt tone across platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Discord and major local social platforms, moderation tools and basic content creation.
  • Willing and able to travel and work evenings/weekends around event schedules.
  • Comfortable representing the brand on camera, on livestreams, on stage, at booths and in front of the community.
  • Native or near-native Vietnamese plus working English for regional coordination. Additional SEA languages or Mandarin are an advantage.
  • Based in Vietnam with the legal right to work in the market.
🔹 Preferred Background
  • Experience with a game publisher or studio.
  • Experience with a convention organiser, cosplay group, doujin circle, ACGN media outlet or creator organisation in Southeast Asia.
  • Experience recruiting/managing moderators, volunteers or creators.
  • Experience producing event recaps, community reports, sentiment notes or creator/partner tracking.
🔹 What Strong Candidates Usually Show
  • They can name specific communities, events and people they have worked with, and clearly explain their role and results.
  • They have real examples of organising, mobilising or growing a community — not only social posting experience.
  • They understand the difference between operating Discord, growing reach on TikTok/Facebook, and managing public sentiment during sensitive moments.
  • They have genuine enthusiasm for ACGN culture while remaining structured, reliable and professional.
  • They can translate local community behaviour into useful insight for Product, Marketing and regional teams.
🔹 Application Note

Please include examples of your ACGN / Nijigen involvement, such as:

  • Events or conventions you have attended, worked at or helped organise.
  • Communities, fan groups, cosplay groups, circles or creator networks you are involved with.
  • Your role and contribution in those communities.
  • Examples of campaigns, meet-ups, events, moderation work or creator collaborations you have handled.
  • Links, screenshots, portfolios or references where appropriate.
