Senior Monitoring Engineer

You will own and continuously improve the enterprise monitoring and observability landscape behind large-scale financial platforms, with Splunk Enterprise at its core. You will set the monitoring standards, drive automation of deployments and configuration through Git and CI/CD, and act as the senior technical authority for alerting, observability, and operational excellence.

You will work from our Ho Chi Minh City hub, hybrid, collaborating daily with engineering teams across the Czech Republic and APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Splunk Enterprise platform across enterprise environments — search heads, indexers, forwarders, deployment servers, and license management — ensuring stability, scalability, performance, and data quality.
• Define and promote monitoring standards, alerting principles, dashboard quality, onboarding guidelines, and operational governance across teams.
• Drive automation of monitoring deployments, configuration changes, and repeatable operational tasks using Git, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, scripting, and APIs.
• Participate in on-call rotations, handle escalations, tune alerts to reduce noise, and lead root-cause analysis for monitoring-related incidents.
• Act as senior SME and mentor to less experienced engineers, collaborating with infrastructure, application, security, and DevOps teams on technical decisions.
• Integrate monitoring with ITSM, CMDB, and event-correlation tooling to improve incident response and service health reporting.

Your Experience and Skills

• 5+ years in monitoring, observability, infrastructure operations, or platform engineering within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on Splunk Enterprise administration: ingestion pipelines, forwarder management, indexing, search performance, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of monitoring governance, alert quality, incident response, operational SLAs, dashboards, and service health reporting.
• Practical experience with scripting, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automation of platform operations.
• Solid grounding in ITIL, incident/problem management, RCA, and alert tuning.
• Fluent English with a proven ability to mentor and communicate with technical and business stakeholders across time zones.
• Nice to have: experience in financial technology, banking, or other high-transaction domains; Splunk Enterprise Security or ITSI; Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps; Splunk or ITIL certifications.
