Job Title: Senior SDET / ETL Test Automation Engineer

Experience: 8–10 years

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior SDET / ETL Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in software development, test automation, ETL/data validation, APIs, databases, and healthcare applications.

The candidate should be hands-on with Python or Java development, automation framework design, SQL, ETL/ELT pipeline testing, API testing, CI/CD, and healthcare data. Experience with HL7, FHIR, X12, EHR/EMR, claims, eligibility, member, provider, and encounter data is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Python/Java.
  • Develop reusable automation libraries, utilities, test frameworks, and data-validation tools.
  • Perform ETL/ELT testing across source, staging, warehouse, and target systems.
  • Validate source-to-target mappings, transformations, business rules, aggregations, and data reconciliation.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, data quality, and defect analysis.
  • Develop Python utilities for automated ETL/data-quality testing and large-volume data validation.
  • Automate REST/SOAP API testing using tools such as RestAssured, Postman/Newman, or Python frameworks.
  • Perform UI, API, database, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate healthcare data exchanged through HL7/FHIR interfaces.

Development Experience – Must Have

The candidate should have genuine software development experience, not only manual testing experience.

  • Strong programming experience in Python or Java.
  • Object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Data structures and exception handling.
  • Writing reusable libraries and utilities.
  • REST API/microservices development or integration experience.
  • Git and branching strategies.
  • Unit testing using PyTest/unittest/JUnit/TestNG.
  • Design patterns and clean-code principles.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting application code.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Docker/cloud environments is preferred.
