Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced IBM API Connect (APIC) Lead to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API and integration solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of integration/API development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on IBM API Connect experience, along with strong expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native, containerized environments.

Required Skills

• IBM API Connect (APIC)
• 10+ years of API/integration development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on IBM API Connect experience
• REST/RESTful and SOAP services
• API security — OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, TLS
• JSON and XML
• XSLT
• Kubernetes / K8s
• Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
• Strong technical leadership and team mentoring experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API and integration solutions
• Drive end-to-end API lifecycle delivery
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and reusable APIs and services
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture, designs, and implementation plans
• Guide technical teams through development and implementation activities
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers
• Establish and enforce enterprise API/integration standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot and support API and integration solutions across environments
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and infrastructure teams
