DevOps Engineer 4

Centex Technologies is hiring a DevOps Engineer 4 to design, automate, secure, and operate reliable delivery platforms that support Centex Technologies' programs and customer environments. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced professional who enjoys owning difficult work, creating clarity, and collaborating across technical, program, and customer teams.

What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines that provide repeatable, traceable, and secure software delivery.
• Build reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and configuration automation for cloud and hybrid environments.
• Define observability, capacity, availability, backup, recovery, and incident-response practices.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex platform, pipeline, performance, and integration failures.
• Embed security scanning, secrets management, access controls, and compliance evidence into delivery workflows.
• Partner with software, cloud, security, QA, and program teams to translate delivery needs into maintainable platform capabilities.

• Join an established small business with more than 20 years of experience supporting customers and solving complex technology and mission needs.
• Work remotely within the United States while contributing to meaningful customer outcomes.
• Take ownership of complex work and collaborate directly with experienced technical and program professionals.

This is a remote U.S. position. Occasional travel or work outside normal hours may be required based on customer and program needs.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability, cloud engineering, or closely related experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containers, cloud services, source control, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to design secure, resilient automation and explain technical tradeoffs to engineering and program stakeholders.

• Experience supporting federal, defense, regulated, or high-availability environments.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, DevOps, or security certification.
• Experience with software supply-chain security, policy as code, and compliance evidence automation.
