Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Workday and Amazon Redshift Data Analyst to design, develop, and support enterprise data and analytics solutions. This role will integrate Workday and external data through Workday Analytics and Amazon Redshift, enabling business leaders to make informed decisions across HR, Finance, and operational functions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain datasets, data pipelines, and analytics solutions within Workday Analytics.
  • Integrate Workday data with Amazon Redshift and other internal and external data sources.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, tables, and data models within Amazon Redshift.
  • Extract, transform, and load data between Workday Prism, Amazon Redshift, and enterprise applications.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable data models, reports, dashboards, and actionable insights.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance across multiple data sources.
  • Develop and enhance Workday reports, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Discovery Board reports.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, data engineering, and business stakeholders to define key performance indicators and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, Redshift queries, reporting issues, data discrepancies, and performance concerns.
  • Optimize Redshift database performance through effective query design, distribution strategies, sort keys, and workload management.
  • Establish and maintain data governance, security, documentation, and reporting standards.
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing, production deployments, and post-production validation.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to business users on Workday Prism datasets, reports, and dashboards.


Required Qualifications


  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, data integration, or data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Analytics, including data ingestion, dataset creation, data transformation, and publishing.
  • Strong experience with Amazon Redshift, including SQL development, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience integrating data between Workday, Amazon Redshift, and other enterprise systems.
  • Strong experience with Workday reporting tools, calculated fields, and security.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, data validation, reconciliation, and governance principles.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical, reporting, and analytical requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting certification.
  • AWS certification or demonstrated experience with AWS data services.
  • Experience with AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, or related AWS technologies.
  • Experience with Workday HCM, Financial Management, Payroll, or related modules.
  • Familiarity with Workday Extend, Workday Accounting Center, or Worksheets.
  • Experience with visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, SFTP, flat-file integrations, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
