Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Details:

Position: Quality Assurance Analyst – Advanced

Location: Columbia, SC

Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite – 5 days/week

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Interview: 1 Round – Virtual/Online

Important Location Requirement: Candidate must currently be a South Carolina resident or be willing to relocate to South Carolina before starting the position at their own expense.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have strong QA/testing experience in large enterprise healthcare or Medicaid environments, hands-on Selenium/Sahi automation experience, excellent test design skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with development, architecture, business, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, QA/UAT processes, test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
• Perform UI, regression, smoke, system integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Design and execute negative testing and usability testing.
• Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using established automation guidelines.
• Identify defects, issues, risks, and impediments and coordinate resolutions with technical and leadership teams.
• Perform quality assessments to identify security flaws, defects, performance issues, and optimization opportunities.
• Maintain defect databases and track testing outcomes through resolution.
• Review and provide oversight/approval of vendor unit and system integration test plans and results.
• Conduct test plan, test script, scenario, and test report reviews.
• Ensure testing activities comply with established QA governance, SDLC standards, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Prepare testing status reports and communicate open issues, gaps, risks, and recommendations to management.
• Participate in project walkthroughs, inspections, and governance activities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience.
• 5+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and test scenarios.
• 3+ years of experience with Sahi Pro and/or Selenium Automation Framework.
• Experience designing and developing test automation scripts.
• Working knowledge of at least one of the following: SPICE, TPI, TMMI, CMMI OPF, OPD, or PPQA.
• Hands-on experience with formal test design techniques, including:
• Equivalence Class Partitioning
• Pairwise Analysis
• Experience with test design tools such as PICT or equivalent orthogonal-based testing tools.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
• 3+ years of Medicaid or healthcare experience with strong understanding of healthcare/Medicaid business processes.
• Experience with X12 standards and HIPAA EDI transactions.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence / Atlassian tool suite.
• Experience working in both Waterfall/standard SDLC and Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with Medicaid enrollment, eligibility, claims processing, and related healthcare systems is highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business, Healthcare, or related field, OR 5+ years of equivalent Quality Assurance experience.
