Required

  • Minimum of 3 years conducting Plans and Operations support services within a government setting.

  • Knowledge of emergency management and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Complete and maintain ADPAAS training certificate upon hire.
  • Complete and maintain Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) training required for Emergency Operations Center (EOC) membership.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale IT operations in DoD or federal government environments.
  • Familiarity with DoD, Army, NETCOM, and local garrison operations policies and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

  • Provide operational support to PASOB and NEC daily operations, including Ft. Carson and all West Region NECs and remote sites.
  • Support, coordinate, review, analyze, and provide feedback on all established and new operations activities on a periodic basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Collaborate with NECs and Mission Partner operations teams to support daily operational requirements.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance plans, budget estimates, and manpower requirements to sustain West Region IT services and equipment maintenance.
  • Generate and update reports to support all PWS requirements and assist Government personnel in managing West Region operations.
  • Manage NETCOM processes, procedures, and associated documentation, including but not limited to OPORDS, TASKORDS, CTOs, ASI, CCIR, 7th Signal Command Metrics Dashboard, West Region Operations Metrics Dashboard, Personnel Rosters, ADPAAS, telephone rosters, installation snapshots, P3E briefs, RDS Briefs, Townhall, and NETCOM GEARS.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, databases, logs, and records for management and scheduling purposes, utilizing NEC Staff Tracker Calendar, Classroom Calendar, and Operations Notifications Calendar with an estimated daily scheduling workload of 10--20 events.
  • Provide rapid response for exercises and real-world events such as Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR), including annual plan updates, execution, documentation, and tabletop exercises in accordance with DoDD 3020.26 and Army Cyber Command COOP Plans.
  • Ensure compliance with security classification guidance related to COOP, including the DoD Defense Continuity Security Classification Guide (1 Sep 2022 and subsequent versions).
  • Provide SharePoint development and management support for West Region and Project SharePoint sites.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Attend Government meetings related to Emergency Working Groups, disaster recovery, deployment, and installation-wide awareness.
  • Review and respond to emails and organizational distribution boxes, resolving approximately 40 issues monthly and routing operational tasks appropriately.
  • Attend required meetings via MS Teams, telephone, or in person to address all operations-related concerns.
  • Resolve operations-related issues, concerns, and new requirements promptly.
  • Ensure timely development, staffing, and signature of operations documents and deliverables.
  • Support all OPORDS, FRAGOs, and directives.
  • Produce documentation related to project deliverables as required.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Officer to complete safety operations.
  • Serve as an alternate West Region Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS) Command Officer Representative.
  • Participate in and support installation exercises as a RNEC representative in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
  • Monitor SIPRNet operational activities.
  • Physical & Mental Requirements:** Performance of essential and ancillary functions may require:
  • Bending, stooping, and sitting.
  • Walking or standing for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires near vision acuity to review written documentation.
  • Ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a telephone and keyboard.
  • Ability to lift horizontally and vertically.

Clearance

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Hire dates are dependent upon the issuance of an interim or final government security clearance.
