Role Overview
We are seeking a proficient, hands-on Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester IV to help drive Agile automated software testing efforts and ensure the stability and quality of digital platforms and solutions. This role works closely with software product developers and analysts to develop, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks, validate software releases, and deliver a seamless end-user experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and expanding the QA function across an existing and future portfolio of digital products while following industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on QA automation expert working with Agile software product teams.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and test frameworks.
- Validate software releases and ensure high-quality product deployments.
- Conduct independent software evaluation and testing to verify functionality against user requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and managers on code reviews, defect management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage software configuration and version control processes, supporting change control activities and configuration builds.
- Test web services, XML, and WSDL using SOAPUI, modifying endpoints and validating services across environments and versions.
Experience: Advanced experience with at least one automated testing platform or framework, such as Selenium, Appium, or Playwright, is necessary.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver and automated testing frameworks.
- Ability to create and maintain test automation scripts using languages like Java, JavaScript, C#, VB, Python, Ruby, or Perl.
- Experience in Functional, Integration, System Integration (SIT), Regression, User Acceptance (UAT), End-to-End, Performance, Load, and Usability testing.
- Understanding of Web 2.0/Web 3.0 technologies, web browsers, SSL, and encryption methodologies.
- Familiarity with hosting Java web applications on platforms like Apache Tomcat or IBM WebSphere.
- Professional experience working in Enterprise IT solution and Technology Software Product Teams.
- Experience with tools such as Saucelabs, Jenkins, Github, Maven, Eclipse IDE, IntelliJ, Source Tree, Automation Anywhere, MuleSoft, and TestNG.
- Experience with load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience testing enterprise applications such as SAP ERP, Java or .NET Web Portals, IBM Content Services Suite, and Adobe AEM or WordPress Content Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or Rational Unified Process (RUP).
- Experience with healthcare testing, including Claims Processing Systems and HIPAA compliance testing.
- Programming experience with C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Angular, or Python.
- Advanced critical thinking and independent problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Effective customer service and professional communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
