About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who brings deep expertise in both quality assurance processes and test automation, someone who can elevate how we build, test, and ship software.

In this role, you will work alongside our QA team. You'll design test strategies, establish standards, build and maintain test automation, and produce the stakeholder-ready documentation our clients depend on.

Responsibilities

  • Design and improve QA processes: test strategies, standards, templates, naming conventions, and repeatable execution workflows.
  • Build and execute test plans aligned with requirements, risks, and delivery timelines.
  • Create and maintain test cases with clear steps, expected results, and acceptance criteria coverage.
  • Perform end-to-end testing across functional, regression, exploratory, integration (APIs/services), and basic performance/smoke validation.
  • Design and build automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and cross-system integrations.
  • Write and maintain automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies and tools to improve testing workflows, test generation, and defect detection.
  • Identify, document, and validate defects with high-quality reproduction steps, evidence, and impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve testability early in the cycle.
  • Produce stakeholder-ready QA artifacts: test execution summaries, release readiness notes, risk/coverage insights, and audit evidence.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the QA team to raise the overall quality bar.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, provide QA estimates, and help define and enforce Definition of Done (DoD) quality gates.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and automation coverage, reduce friction, increase reliability, and scale testing capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, testing, or software validation.
  • Proven experience creating test plans, test strategies, test cases, defect reports, and QA summaries.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern test automation framework: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
  • Solid programming or scripting skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or a comparable language.
  • Experience with API testing and automation (REST, auth flows, data validation).
  • Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, agile delivery, and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with test management and documentation tooling (e.g., TestRail, XRay, Zephyr, qTest, or similar).
  • Solid analytical skills: ability to isolate issues, define scope and impact, and communicate clearly.
  • Strong communication and writing skills — you'll produce stakeholder-ready QA output.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Preferred

  • Experience with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, Artillery, or similar).
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance QA workflows, for example including AI-assisted test generation, automated defect triage, or integrating AI tools into the testing pipeline.
  • Understanding of test architecture: page object models, data-driven testing, fixture management, parallel execution.
  • Experience working on regulated, audit-heavy projects where test evidence and traceability matter.
  • Experience with accessibility testing, security testing basics, or DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with containerized test environments (Docker).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field.
