Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a large-scale JD Edwards remediation initiative for our client in Philadelphia. This individual will provide hands-on data engineering support focused on improving, transforming, integrating, and validating data within the JD Edwards environment and its surrounding systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, ETL/data integration, SQL, data quality, and enterprise systems, with previous experience supporting JD Edwards (JDE) environments highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on data engineering support for a JD Edwards remediation and modernization initiative.
• Analyze existing JD Edwards data structures, integrations, dependencies, and data-quality issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines supporting data migration, transformation, and remediation.
• Extract, transform, cleanse, reconcile, and validate data from JD Edwards and related enterprise systems.
• Develop complex SQL queries, scripts, and data transformation processes.
• Identify data inconsistencies, integrity issues, duplicates, and other data-quality concerns and implement remediation solutions.
• Support data migration and integration between JD Edwards and downstream/upstream applications, databases, and reporting platforms.
• Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and functional JD Edwards resources to understand data requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure completeness and accuracy throughout the remediation process.
• Document data mappings, transformation logic, technical processes, and system dependencies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, ETL/ELT, data transformation, and data integration.
• Experience working with large, complex enterprise datasets.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data cleansing, reconciliation, and remediation.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting data pipelines and integrations.
• Previous experience supporting JD Edwards / JDE data environments strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP data migrations, system remediation, or modernization initiatives preferred.
• Ability to work closely with both technical and functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or World.
• ERP data migration or remediation projects.
• Data warehousing and reporting environments.
• Python or other scripting languages.
• Cloud-based data platforms or modern ETL/data integration technologies.

Important: This position requires working onsite four days per week in Center City Philadelphia, near 30th Street Station. Candidates should be local to the Philadelphia area or able to reliably commute onsite.
