We would like to meet a QA Automation Engineer for a hybrid project based in Porto (once a week in the office)
Requirements:
- +4 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- At least 6 months experience with Playwright or Cypress;
- Experience working in agile software development environments and distributed teams with strong collaboration and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into well-defined user stories and functional specifications.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QA strategies, frameworks, and best practices across all project phases.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for enterprise applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Review and validate requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure quality and testability.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, project managers, and external vendors to align quality goals and delivery expectations.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects while ensuring effective regression testing and issue resolution.
- Monitor and report QA metrics, including defect trends, test coverage, and testing progress to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to agile development processes by promoting automation, proactive problem-solving, and a quality-focused mindset.
