About The Team
As a Sales Director - EMEA Mid Market, you will be responsible for leading a team of Client Executives focused on growth accounts in EMEA. You and your team will be responsible in identifying, qualifying and efficiently bringing sales opportunities to successful conclusion in active and prospective clients in Pharma, BioTechs, CDMO's and life sciences entities. Key focus areas are new customer acquisition and expansion in existing. The Sales Director is also
responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and personal involvement in customer relationships in order to remain consistent with Medidata principles. The role will include devising and executing strategies to significantly grow the Dassault Systemes complete life sciences portfolio and building and managing C-Suite relationships
Your Role
- Management of a team of high-level sales professionals as part of the responsibility for driving bookings and revenue within the assigned Territory
- Consistent attainment of all revenue and booking targets within assigned territory, per targets based on position referenced above
- Development and execution of strategic sales plans as they relate to specific
- opportunities and accounts within assigned territory
- Directly responsible for closing sales transactions with clients and prospects
- Coordinate resources within sales and other departments
- Maintain and update sales plans, account and opportunity data within company systems as directed
- Quarterly and/or annual sales targets differ by title/position and are covered under a separate document
- Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of Client Executives, establishing clear performance metrics, KPIs, and quotas to ensure consistent goal attainment.
- Talent Development & Mentorship: Foster continuous personal and professional
- growth through regular 1:1 coaching, structured training, and career pathway planning.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Partner with Talent Acquisition to hire, onboard, and retain top sales talent to build a scalable, resilient regional sales organisation.
- Pipeline & Forecasting: Conduct regular pipeline reviews and deal inspections, ensuring accurate quarterly and annual revenue forecasting within company CRM systems.
- Resource Alignment & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align internal
- resources—including Pre-Sales, Legal, Marketing, Services, and Product Teams—to support high-value strategic deals and accelerate sales velocity.
- Culture & Operational Excellence: Drive a culture of accountability, integrity, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement aligned with Medidata's core principles.
- Understand the prospect's needs and market solutions which align to those needs.
- Sales/People Management experience in the Software industry
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry
- Demonstrated consistent track record in exceeding sales targets
- Experience leading large-scale, complex sales cycles
- Experience in complex, multi-product, direct and channel-driven sales cycles
- Heritage of strong application SaaS sales experience
- Understand organisational political dynamics and competitive awareness
- Strong business planning. Experience maintaining clean records of sales outreach and contacts in a CRM
