Senior Software Architect

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Architect for one or more product lines, balancing technical health and delivery capability
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across heterogeneous environments (C++, Java, Python, Kubernetes-based Cloud Services)
• Drive modernization initiatives from Cloud-native to AI-native architectures, documenting decisions and roadmaps
• Coach engineers and leads, establish reusable patterns, and contribute to architecture community standards
• Integrate AI tooling (Agents, Skills, Workflows, Pipelines, Harnesses) into architectural concepts to maximize potential

What You'll Need

• Several years of experience as a Software or Solution Architect in large, distributed SaaS or Enterprise systems
• Proven architectural responsibility and strong decision-making skills
• Outstanding university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Deep technical expertise in modern software architecture (Microservices, Cloud-native design, Security-by-Design, Eventing and Integration patterns)
• Broad technical foundation across C++, Java, Python, and Kubernetes/Cloud Stacks
• Experience with AI in software engineering, ideally with agentic coding tools and AI pipeline design
• Fluent German and English, strong communication, hands-on mentality, and problem-solving skills
