Platform & Systems Engineer DevOps-oriented Infrastructure Role

D Group is building its Technology & Information Systems function and is looking for a hands-on Platform & Systems Engineer to help structure, support and evolve the Group’s infrastructure, cloud services, hosting environments and production systems.

This is a role that combines systems engineering, web hosting operations, cloud infrastructure, automation and DevOps practices. We are not looking for a classic system administrator only focused on day-to-day support, nor a pure cloud-native DevOps engineer disconnected from real operational needs. We are looking for someone practical, reliable and hands-on, who can keep systems stable and secure while helping the engineering team improve how applications, websites and digital services are deployed, monitored and supported.

What you will do

• Manage and support server environments, cloud services and internal platforms.
• Supervise and manage the dedicated servers and hosting environments that run the Group’s websites and digital services.
• Help set up and improve development, staging and production environments.
• Manage backups, restore procedures, monitoring, patching, SSL certificates, DNS and basic security controls.
• Support deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash or similar tools.
• Work closely with backend, frontend and QA engineers to support stable application delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for website hosting, server maintenance, deployments and incident resolution.
• Monitor infrastructure, applications, websites and logs to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, hosted services, server access, domains, certificates, backup procedures and operational runbooks.
• Contribute to the gradual adoption of more mature DevOps and platform engineering practices.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field is mandatory.
• 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, cloud operations, DevOps or a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Linux administration.
• Experience managing dedicated servers, web hosting environments or production infrastructure for websites and web applications.
• Experience with cloud services, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, SSL, VPN, firewalls, TCP/IP.
• Experience with backups, monitoring, patching and production support.
• Basic experience with Docker and application deployment flows.
• Good scripting/automation skills using PowerShell, Bash or similar tools.
• Practical understanding of security, availability and operational stability.
• Ability to work with developers, QA, business stakeholders and external vendors.

Nice to have

• GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or similar CI/CD tools.
• Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Kubernetes exposure.
• Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack or other observability tools.
• Microsoft 365 / Entra ID administration experience.
• Experience with web hosting environments, dedicated servers, Nginx/Apache, Plesk or similar hosting/control panel tools.
• PostgreSQL, reverse proxies or web application hosting experience.
• Security hardening and access control experience.
