Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to work on a full-time basis. This role requires designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable database systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and optimize database architectures to meet performance and scalability requirements.

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery processes for database systems.

• Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis to minimize downtime and improve system resilience.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate database best practices into development workflows.

• Evaluate and adopt new database technologies and tools to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in database administration or reliability engineering with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and database optimization techniques.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their managed database services.

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible for database deployments.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

• Ability to automate routine database tasks and write scripts in Python, Bash, or Go.

• Understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements.

• Experience with high-availability configurations and disaster recovery planning.
