Position Summary

The Inside Sales Account Manager supports customers, sales representatives, and internal teams by managing day-to-day sales support, customer communication, quotations, order follow-up, and basic technical product assistance. This role is critical to making DEHN easy to do business with while helping the sales team convert leads, respond quickly to customer needs, and support revenue growth.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary inside contact for customers and sales partners regarding product availability, pricing, lead times, order status, shipments, RMAs, and general sales support needs.
  • Prepare RFQs, quotations, order acknowledgements, sales documents, and related customer communications accurately and on time.
  • Qualify inbound leads from online requests, determine the appropriate product line or sales owner, and either assist the customer directly or route the lead to the correct sales team.
  • Support outside sales and regional managers with account follow-up, customer onboarding, opportunity support, and sales initiatives.
  • Review customer orders, purchase orders, and sales documentation for accuracy and coordinate with Order Entry, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Sales as needed.
  • Provide basic product and application support, including model number verification, cross references, specification review, and coordination of more complex technical questions with Engineering.
  • Support RMA, warranty, return, replacement order, and failure analysis processes by coordinating information between customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales documentation, and reporting information in company systems.
  • Assist with sales reporting, commission verification, data analysis, customer communications, and other administrative activities that support efficient sales operations.


Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Comfort working with technical products and learning product applications, specifications, and model selection.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, sales representatives, and internal teams.
  • High attention to detail when reviewing orders, quotes, pricing, documentation, and customer requests.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to know when to escalate issues.
  • Collaborative approach with a willingness to support customers, sales, operations, engineering, finance, and marketing as needed.


Experience, Systems and Tools

  • BS preferred
  • 5-8 year’s professional experience
  • CRM: Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot, or similar
  • ERP: SAP preferred; Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Business Central, or equivalent
  • Microsoft 365: Advanced Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint
  • Sales Enablement Tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar prospecting platforms
  • Reporting & Analytics: CRM dashboards, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable reporting tools

Physical demands

  • May occasionally require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to twenty-five (25) pounds
  • Frequent sitting, standing, occasional bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, and reaching overhead
