Kilpatrick Townsend is seeking an E-Discovery Attorney to support litigation teams through all phases of the e-discovery lifecycle while helping advance the firm’s use of AI and emerging legal technologies. This role combines hands-on discovery work with opportunities to develop innovative workflows, evaluate new technology solutions, and collaborate with attorneys and clients on complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate is a technology-curious attorney with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a passion for innovation in legal practice. This Team Attorney position is an alternative to traditional partnership-track position and has a lower billable hour requirement (and minimal non-billable requirements).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support e-discovery matters, including document review, quality control, privilege review, data collections, and productions.
  • Collaborate with litigation teams on discovery strategy, deposition preparation, trial support, and case management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of AI-enabled review workflows and other technology-driven solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging legal technologies and support training, best practices, and workflow improvements.
  • Participate in client-facing initiatives, including presentations, conferences, and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in litigation, investigations, e-discovery, or a related legal practice.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Interest in legal technology, AI, and innovation within litigation workflows.
  • Experience with Relativity, technology-assisted review (TAR), analytics, or AI-assisted review tools is preferred.
