The School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) is seeking applications for two highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral research associates. These are 12-month (calendar year), 100% research special appointments located in Lincoln, Nebraska, with remote work negotiable.

One postdoc will be working within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement social science indicators focused on stakeholder and community well-being within the Central Plains. The other postdoc will be working within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement social science related to amplification/diffusion of collaborative adaptive rangeland management.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in human dimensions of natural resources/agriculture, sociology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in interview, focus group, and/or survey design, implementation, and analysis.
  • Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to publish manuscripts in peer reviewed journals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in U.S. ranching social-ecological systems.
  • Expertise in social network analysis.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
