Overview:
We are seeking a .NetIntegration Developer who will support our NYS client. This role will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable .NET (C#) integration solutions by modernizing existing mainframe interfaces, batch processes, file transfers, message queues, and APIs.
The work supports critical health and human services programs, including Medicaid, SNAP, Public Assistance, and Child Support, with a focus on reliable system integration and compliance with state and federal standards.
Duties:
- Analyze existing mainframe interfaces and integrations, including batch processes, file transfers, and message queues, and design and develop them into .NET (C#) solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy secure RESTful and SOAP APIs for internal and external integration needs.
- Integrate systems, applications, and platforms using consumable APIs, managed file transfers, asynchronous processes, batch processing, and queuing platforms.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, product managers, and technical leads to define integration requirements and validate successful implementations.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, optimize performance, and maintain data security, scalability, and reliability across integration solutions.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for internal users, stakeholders, integration processes, and implemented solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 7+ years of experience working on complex projects, including 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer.
- 7+ years of experience in integration application (API, batch, async) design and development across high-profile projects with complex business logic.
- 7+ years of experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing integrations (APIs, asynchronous processes, and batch processes), with strong working knowledge of mainframe interfaces and integration patterns (batch, file-based, and message queue based) and proven experience designing and developing them into .NET-based solutions.
- 7+ years of experience designing, documenting, developing, and implementing integration processes and solutions using .NET C#.
- 7+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) application integration, including development of secure web services and SOAP/RESTful APIs.
- 4 or more years of experience developing with message queue processing (IBM MQ preferred) and/or an Enterprise Service Bus.
- 7+ years of experience with Entity Framework.
- 7+ years of experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit preferred).
- 5+ years of experience with distributed version control systems such as Git.
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD workflows.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- 2+ years of experience working in a federal or state government setting; Health and Human Services experience, especially Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, and Child Support, is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
