◆ Position Overview
We are a rapidly growing deep-tech defense company developing next-generation unmanned aerial systems powered by advanced aerospace, robotics, and AI technologies.
We are expanding globally across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and other strategic defense markets.
The Global Growth Director will lead the company's global growth organization, overseeing Business Development, Sales, Strategic Accounts, Defense Capture, Strategic Partnerships, and Marketing.
This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for building the company's global growth engine from market strategy and opportunity generation through customer engagement, capture, contracting, and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is not simply a sales leader or a marketing leader. We are looking for a business builder who can create markets, develop strategic customers, build high-value pipelines, and turn opportunities into scalable revenue.
◆ Key Responsibilities
1. Global Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute the company’s global commercial and growth strategy
- Define priority countries, customer segments, applications, and market-entry strategies
- Identify high-growth opportunities across global defense and unmanned systems markets
- Develop market sizing, competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and opportunity assessments
- Establish commercial priorities aligned with the company's product roadmap and corporate strategy
Develop annual and multi-year revenue growth plans
Build and manage the company's global sales and business development pipeline
Establish measurable growth KPIs and operating mechanisms
2. Business Development
Lead the global Business Development organization across strategic markets.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Develop relationships with military organizations, government agencies, defense companies, prime contractors, distributors, and strategic partners
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers
- Develop country and regional business strategies
- Build local partnerships and distribution channels where appropriate
- Develop new customer acquisition strategies
- Convert market intelligence and customer feedback into actionable business opportunities
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to align customer requirements with product strategy
3. Sales & Strategic Accounts
- Establish and manage a global sales organization
- Develop strategic account management processes
- Identify and prioritize high-value customers
- Own major customer relationships and strategic negotiations
- Develop account plans for key defense customers and government organizations
- Manage long-cycle enterprise and government sales processes
- Develop pricing and commercial strategies in collaboration with Finance
- Lead major contract negotiations together with executive leadership and Legal
- Establish forecasting and pipeline management processes
- Drive contracted revenue and backlog growth
4. Defense Capture Management
Build and lead a disciplined defense capture capability.
- Identify major government and defense programs
- Analyze procurement processes, budgets, requirements, competitors, and decision-makers
- Develop capture strategies for high-value opportunities
- Define win strategies and competitive positioning
- Coordinate RFI/RFP/RFQ responses
- Develop bid/no-bid criteria
- Lead cross-functional capture teams
- Coordinate technical, commercial, legal, financial, and operational inputs
- Manage customer evaluation, demonstration, and proposal processes
- Develop strategies for government procurement and defense acquisition programs
The role will be expected to build a repeatable capture engine, rather than relying solely on individual sales relationships.
5. Strategic Partnerships
Develop partnerships that accelerate international growth and market access.
Potential partners include:
- Global defense primes
- Local defense companies
- UAV manufacturers
- Sensor and avionics companies
- Communications providers
- MRO and logistics providers
- Local distributors
- Government and military ecosystem partners
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying strategic partners
- Developing partnership strategies
- Negotiating commercial structures
- Establishing distribution and system integration partnerships
- Developing localization and industrial cooperation strategies
- Managing strategic alliances
- Identifying potential acquisition or investment opportunities together with Corporate Development
6. Marketing & Market Intelligence
Lead a focused B2B/B2G marketing organization.
- Establish global brand and positioning strategy
- Develop product positioning for different markets and customer segments
- Lead defense exhibitions, demonstrations, conferences, and industry events
- Develop customer-facing materials, technical marketing content, and presentations
- Develop thought leadership and corporate communications
- Establish market intelligence capabilities
- Monitor competitors, technologies, procurement trends, and defense spending
- Identify emerging market opportunities
- Translate market intelligence into business and product strategy
This role will prioritize high-value defense marketing and customer engagement rather than traditional consumer-style marketing.
7. Revenue & Pipeline Management
Establish a rigorous commercial operating system.
- Develop global sales pipeline methodology
- Establish opportunity qualification standards
- Define pipeline stages and probability criteria
- Develop revenue forecasting methodology
- Track pipeline coverage and conversion
- Establish CRM processes and reporting
- Monitor customer acquisition cost and commercial efficiency
- Analyze pipeline by country, customer, product, and probability
- Establish quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Develop corrective strategies when pipeline or revenue targets are at risk
8. Cross-functional Leadership
The Global Growth Director will work closely with every major function of the company.
9. Organization Leadership
The Global Growth Director will build and lead a high-performance global commercial organization.

◆ Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, strategy, or commercial leadership
- Proven track record of building and scaling international business
- Experience leading B2B, B2G, defense, aerospace, robotics, UAV, or deep-tech businesses
- Experience managing long-cycle and complex sales processes
- Experience with government or defense customers strongly preferred
- Experience building and managing strategic partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to close large, complex deals
- Strong understanding of international business development
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities
