Job Summary


Nephrology Associates is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across clinic, dialysis centers, and hospital settings. This role offers a strong balance of autonomy and physician collaboration, managing patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). This position will oversee clinics in the Clarksville and Dickson, TN market.


Key Responsibilities



  • NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS!

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients under established clinical protocols

  • Order, interpret, and follow up on labs and diagnostic tests

  • Develop and manage individualized patient care plans

  • Educate patients and families on CKD, ESRD, and treatment options

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams


Dialysis Responsibilities:



  • Manage hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients

  • Treat ESRD-related complications (anemia, hypertension, electrolyte imbalance, bone disease)

  • Participate in monthly care plan meetings

  • Support dialysis staff and ensure continuity of care


Clinic & Hospital Responsibilities:



  • Manage CKD patients (Stages 1–5) with a focus on slowing disease progression

  • Provide inpatient support for nephrology patients

  • Coordinate care with external providers and facilities


Qualifications



  • Licensed, Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Tennessee (or eligible)

  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program, Master's or above Educational Level

  • Current National Certification: AANP/ANCC/FNP

  • BLS or ACLS certification required

  • 1+ year of clinical experience preferred (nephrology experience a plus)

  • If Prescribing Drugs, DEA Certification is required.
