Hexa Consulting is looking for a Lead .NET Engineer to join our Client's team in a hybrid work model from Porto.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience, with strong expertise in .NET technologies.
• Proven experience acting as a technical leader, mentor or technical reference within a software engineering team.
• Strong experience designing scalable, maintainable and secure software solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing using AWS or Azure.
• Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and software design patterns.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of API security best practices and data privacy principles.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow and modern deployment approaches.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code and configuration management practices.
• Strong code review and technical documentation practices.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, structured approach to complex technical challenges.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with engineering, product and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Collaborative, responsible and solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React.js or Angular.
• Experience with iOS or Android development.
• Direct people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex .NET initiatives, ensuring quality, scalability, maintainability and alignment with business priorities.
• Guide a software engineering squad or cross-functional team, supporting developers with architecture decisions, implementation challenges and technical blockers.
• Design robust cloud-based solutions balancing performance, security, cost efficiency and long-term evolution.
• Collaborate closely with product stakeholders to translate business requirements into feasible technical plans and delivery priorities.
• Support the early resolution of client-impacting issues, contributing to service reliability and adherence to agreed service levels.
• Review code, contribute to critical solution design decisions and promote engineering quality across team deliverables.
• Identify, document and prioritize technical debt, ensuring continuous improvement is incorporated into delivery planning.
• Maintain clear technical documentation to support knowledge transfer, onboarding, development continuity and effective team communication.
