We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in C#/.NET, cloud-native backend development, and API engineering.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services in cloud environments. The engineer will work closely with Tech Leads and cross-functional teams to implement high-quality solutions aligned with established architectural and engineering standards.
This role is not a Tech Lead or Architect position. The expectation is strong technical execution, active contribution to engineering quality, support for architecture compliance, and ownership of backend deliverables.
AI-assisted development practices are a core expectation for this role. Candidates should be comfortable using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code Codex, or similar within their daily engineering workflow.
Your Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:
Backend Development
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET Core.
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performance REST APIs.
- Implement backend solutions aligned with approved architectural patterns and technical guidelines.
- Develop services capable of handling high concurrency and production-scale workloads.
- Write optimized and maintainable database queries while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend and production issues efficiently.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
- Apply SOLID principles and safeguard architectural practices such as Clean Architecture, Onion Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Implement and maintain:
- Unit tests
- Integration tests
- End-to-end tests
- Performance/load tests
- Participate actively in code reviews and engineering quality initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, tooling, and workflows.
- Work closely with Tech Leads, frontend engineers, QA engineers, and DevOps engineers
- Translate technical and business requirements into high-quality implementations.
- Support architecture compliance and contribute to solution improvement discussions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers when needed.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and team collaboration activities.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Containerize backend services using Docker.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Support observability and monitoring practices using logging, metrics, and tracing tools.
- Follow security, reliability, and operational best practices in backend implementations.
- Stay up to date with advancements in backend technologies.
- Propose and implement improvements in system architecture and development workflows.
What We're Looking For
- Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in backend development.
- Experience in developing and maintaining scalable backend services.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit, integration and performance tests.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude-Code … configuration, rule management and use.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
