DevOps & Infrastructure Project Lead

We are looking for a Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Project Lead to join a highly technical international environment supporting critical business applications and infrastructure platforms.

This role is ideal for a hands-on DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, or Production Support professional who has evolved into technical project leadership while remaining actively involved in engineering activities.

The position combines technical delivery ownership with project coordination responsibilities, requiring strong expertise in production environments, cloud technologies, automation, and infrastructure operations.

Work Model

• Hybrid model (Lisbon or Porto) 2/3x in the office

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a dedicated infrastructure and production-related project from planning through delivery.
• Act as the technical lead responsible for ensuring operational stability, performance, and reliability of critical environments.
• Perform advanced production support and troubleshooting activities within complex infrastructure ecosystems.
• Coordinate technical teams, application owners, infrastructure specialists, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project governance, reporting, planning, risk management, and delivery tracking.
• Drive cloud adoption, automation initiatives, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
• Define and monitor operational KPIs, SLAs, and service quality metrics.
• Support application deployments, production releases, migrations, and operational transitions.
• Contribute to DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with security, resilience, and operational standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Application Production Support environments.
• Proven experience combining hands-on technical responsibilities with project leadership or technical coordination.
• Solid experience with Linux administration and production environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of: Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Ansible
• Experience working with monitoring and observability tools.
• Familiarity with infrastructure services, networking, middleware, and production operations.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, delivery timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills within international environments.
• Ability to work autonomously while owning both technical delivery and project governance activities.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
