Are you passionate about using data to improve healthcare outcomes and tackle health inequalities?
This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to support local GP practices and neighbourhood initiatives by transforming complex healthcare data into meaningful information that drives decision-making, service improvement, and population health management.
Working closely with North Kerrier Neighbourhood colleagues, you will help identify patient cohorts, analyse trends, support compliance requirements, and provide actionable insights that contribute to improving outcomes for local communities.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Essential
- Experience of working with data management, data quality, or analytical processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and cleansing.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Ability to present data and information in a visual and understandable format.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Understanding of information governance and data protection principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, reconcile, validate, and cleanse data from primary care clinical systems.
- Ensure operational data is accurate, reliable, auditable, and fit for purpose.
- Develop and maintain datasets to support reporting, analysis, compliance requirements, and service improvement initiatives.
- Identify and support the analysis of specific patient cohorts relating to population health management and health inequalities.
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visual data presentations for the Executive Team and wider stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with GP practices across the North Kerrier Neighbourhood to support data-driven decision making.
- Support governance processes through the maintenance of accurate data records and audit trails.
- Contribute to the development of data management processes, reporting tools, and information systems.
- Interpret and present complex information in a clear, meaningful, and actionable way.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and information governance requirements.
You will play a key role in supporting population health management initiatives and addressing health inequalities by enabling clinicians and managers to better understand local needs through high-quality data analysis and reporting.
This role requires someone who can communicate complex information clearly, presenting data in a visual and easily understandable format to support strategic and operational decision-making.
As this is a new position, duties and responsibilities are expected to evolve over time and will be reviewed to meet the changing needs of the neighbourhood landscape.
