Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Project Manager to lead critical AI and Information Management (IM) initiatives. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong combination of technical IT project management expertise, a deep understanding of AI/ML (including Generative AI), and comprehensive knowledge of information management practices such as data governance, knowledge management, and information architecture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding projects from ideation through to production deployment, ensuring excellence in technical delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams comprising machine learning engineers, data architects, and business stakeholders to deliver valuable, compliant, and scalable AI solutions in a fast-paced and agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI and Information Management projects, including proof of concepts, deployments, adoption initiatives, and continuous improvement activities involving Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), traditional machine learning, and AI-driven automation.
• Manage initiatives related to data governance frameworks, master and reference data management, metadata management, data quality programs, knowledge management, enterprise content and document management, and records management.
• Develop project documentation including charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, RAID logs, and risk registers to drive complex technical programs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including ML/MLOps engineers, data engineers, architects, security specialists, business analysts, and external vendors.
• Oversee technical workstreams involving network infrastructure, security, hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, enterprise application integrations, and Azure or multi-cloud platforms.
• Utilize Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, workshops, and steering committee meetings.
• Manage vendor relationships, including RFP processes, contract management, and third-party AI and information management solution implementations.
• Ensure AI projects align with data readiness requirements, model evaluation standards, MLOps pipeline monitoring, responsible AI principles, and regulatory compliance obligations.
• Embed strong information governance, privacy, security, and audit controls across project deliverables.
• Lead change management activities, user adoption programs, training initiatives, production cutovers, outage coordination, and post-implementation reviews.
• Monitor and report on project KPIs, benefits realization, budgets, risks, and progress, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Identify risks and dependencies early, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
• Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and roadmap development for AI and Information Management opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• 7-10+ years of project management experience within technical IT environments, including significant exposure to AI/ML, data, or information management projects.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex infrastructure, cloud, security, AI, or data governance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, MLOps pipelines, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience across information management disciplines such as data governance, master data management, metadata management, knowledge management, and regulatory compliance.
• Technical understanding of network infrastructure, enterprise applications, on-premises and cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure AI and ML services.
• Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills across both technical and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexities into business-focused outcomes for senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing change initiatives, system cutovers, outages, and migrations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum (CSM, PSM), or equivalent.
• Certifications in AI, Data Governance, or cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure AI, CDMP).
• Experience working within regulated industries with strong compliance, privacy, and governance requirements.
