Job Description
About the role
We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team on a 2 year Maximum Term basis
As the Database Administrator (DBA), you will support the stability, performance and integrity of RWWA's database environments across development, test and production. Working across Oracle and SQL Server platforms, you'll contribute to database administration, performance tuning and technical support activities while helping to maintain secure, reliable and high-performing database environments.
Other Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing operational support for critical database systems, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Analysing technical issues and implementing effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.
- Working with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues and support ongoing improvements.
- Implementing and maintaining database backup and recovery procedures.
- Practical experience in Oracle database administration is valued
- Practical SQL Server administration experience.
- Experience supporting AWS cloud services, including deployment, operation and optimisation, will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience with the following will be highly regarded: Snowflake; Commvault; Dynatrace; GitLab; YAML; Azure; AWS;
- Working experience of Windows and Linux administration, along with PowerShell and Shell scripting will be highly regarded.
