Senior BI & Data Engineering Consultant

This role is responsible for delivering enterprise BI, data engineering and reporting solutions that support critical business decision-making. You will work across Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Power BI to build scalable data platforms, models and dashboards.

Description

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes for enterprise reporting needs
• Integrate data from multiple business systems into centralised platforms
• Develop dimensional, semantic and data warehouse models
• Create and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and analytics solutions
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather reporting requirements
• Produce technical documentation, data mappings and solution designs
• Ensure compliance with governance, security and enterprise standards

Profile

• Strong experience delivering enterprise BI and analytics solutions
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric
• Advanced Power BI development and optimisation skills
• Experience building Azure Data Factory data pipelines
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning capability
• Knowledge of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills
