Qualifications and requirements

- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, team leadership, or coordination within a research, media, international relations, or communications environment.
-Organisational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritise tasks, and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Language Proficiency:
a) Spanish: Native or Advanced proficiency (C1) – strongly preferred for interaction with local partners and event participation in Latin America.
b) English: Native or Intermediate proficiency (B1) – essential f

Projects

Social Research Center (SRC) is the first research and communication platform in Latin America exclusively dedicated to the Indian diaspora and to stakeholders engaged with India in the region. Historically, Latin America has lacked an institutional body that systematically examines the socio economic, cultural, and political contributions of the Indian community. This absence has hindered effective dialogue among local communities, media entities, and commercial enterprises.

We welcome a broad exchange of data and research, presentations of analytical centres (think tanks), and an open dialogue on the most pressing issues of interaction between India and LATAM. We are primarily interested in exchanging ideas within the framework of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary research based on cultural studies and social studies, as well as supporting initiatives and providing a platform for mutual enrichment of knowledge, cultures, and scientific interests.

Job functions

- Analyse strategic plans and internal documentation to determine the required expert profile for each research initiative.
- Identify, contact, and maintain a database of qualified subject matter experts across relevant industries, academia, and government.
- Coordinate interviews, surveys, and consultations with experts to obtain primary data.
- Consolidate feedback and raw data from the Sociological Researcher into structured deliverables for internal review.
- Coordinate the research and media units to ensure that final outputs meet publication standards and strategic objectives.
- Attend and participate in thematic conferences, seminars, and networking events related to Indo Latin American cooperation.
- Identify new opportunities for departmental growth and propose initiatives to expand the unit’s scope and impact.
- Prepare and submit weekly progress reports detailing operational status, milestones achieved, and challenges encountered.
- Compile comprehensive final reports upon project completion, synthesising research findings and actionable recommendations.
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for departmental roles, including the development of position specifications, candidate sourcing, and screening.
- Conduct structured interviews and evaluate applicants to select qualified personnel who align with departmental objectives and organisational culture.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires and ensure optimal team composition and capacity to meet fluctuating project demands.
