Job Summary
The GIS Analyst develops geospatial products supporting DT Midstream’s FERC and non-FERC pipeline/facility project execution, pipeline design, pipeline permitting, pipeline operations, and right-of-way acquisition activities. Is proficient in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures and assists other GIS staff. Demonstrates the ability to take on larger assignments, while maintaining efficiencies and quality.
Key Accountabilities
- Create and maintain accurate GIS data needed for maps/exhibits such as limits of disturbance (LODs), workspaces, access roads, haul routes, etc.
- Produce FERC and non-FERC project maps/exhibits such as permission to survey (PTS), landowner right-of-way, 2.55(b), environmental desktop review (EDR), landowner notification, etc.
- Efficiently and dependably complete pipeline/facility GIS assignments within project timelines.
- Communicate GIS requests and updates in project meetings
- Identify missing data, data differences, or project concerns and work with applicable DTM teams on solutions
- Create and maintain reports or summaries from project GIS data and distribute to applicable DT Midstream teams
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field.
- Proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and Microsoft Office Products.
- Experience working with GIS data in a branch versioned, ESRI ArcGIS enterprise geodatabase environment
- Working knowledge of pipeline routing, pipeline right-of-way acquisition, pipeline permitting, pipeline engineering plans as well as parcel and right-of-way/workspace data.
- Exposure to pipeline industry experience supporting pipeline project teams.
- Understanding of FERC and non-FERC pipeline/facility project GIS requirements
- Able to interpret and map metes and bounds legal descriptions
- Understanding of pipeline GIS data in a Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) containing calibrated routes
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS for AutoCAD
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple job requests in a timely manner.
