About This Opportunity

All Points North is redefining residential treatment. At APN Lodge in Edwards, Colorado, we treat trauma, addiction, and mental health together through one integrated clinical team operating at a depth most programs do not attempt. Physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and master's-level therapists work side by side under one unified clinical framework.

As a PRN Primary Therapist, you will provide vital clinical coverage and support to our core interdisciplinary team. This role is designed for clinicians who want to do the work they trained for—individual, family, and group therapy through a trauma-focused, family-systems lens—on a flexible, as-needed basis. You will step in to facilitate groups, manage temporary caseloads during high-volume periods, and ensure seamless continuity of care.

What You Will Do

  • Provide individual and family therapy through a trauma-focused, family-systems approach during coverage shifts.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational, experiential, and process groups.
  • Complete clinical documentation including psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within required EMR timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-coverage care updates with the primary case management and therapy teams.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all client contact and incident reports in the EMR system.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of trauma's role in addiction and dysfunctional behaviors.
  • Apply evidence-based models and theories for treatment of trauma, addiction, and mental health disorders.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited program.
  • Independent Colorado licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (PhD/PsyD also considered).
  • Three or more years of clinical experience with substance use and co-occurring mental health populations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Sound clinical judgment, appropriate professional boundaries, and the flexibility that residential care requires.
  • High moral and ethical values; commitment to NAADAC ethical standards.
  • Ability to pass background check, criminal records check, drug screen, and provide professional references.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residential treatment experience.
  • Trauma-treatment training or specialized experience.
  • Addiction credentials (LAC, CAS, or similar).
  • Experience with family-systems or trauma-focused modalities.

Essential Attributes

  • Openness to learning and professional growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to integrate smoothly into an established interdisciplinary team.
  • Maturity of judgment and adaptability to accommodate changing facility coverage needs.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: $48/hour
  • Benefits: Accrued paid sick leave in accordance with the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA).
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan eligibility and matching available to PRN employees who meet minimum annual hourly service requirements

Living and Working in the Vail Valley

Please note that APN does not provide employee housing or relocation assistance for PRN positions. This role is ideally suited for qualified clinicians already residing within the Vail Valley or surrounding areas (such as Eagle, Gypsum, or Glenwood Springs) who are looking for flexible, high-depth clinical work at 7,000 feet.
