Data Engineer (SQL Server, SSIS, Python & Databricks)

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Management team and help build revenue-generating enterprise data solutions. In this role, you will leverage SQL Server, SSIS, Python, and Databricks to design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data environments that support business-critical operations and analytics.

You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to transform requirements into high-quality data solutions while ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability across database and cloud-based environments.

What You'll Do

• Partner with business and technical teams to understand functional and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL stored procedures and functions.
• Optimize existing stored procedures, tables, indexes, and database performance.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and tune database environments alongside engineering teams.
• Review SQL code developed by peers to ensure coding standards and performance best practices.
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data transformation, cleansing, aggregation, staging, and transfers.
• Support production data loads and ongoing database refresh processes.
• Perform data analysis and profiling to support design and development decisions.
• Define data flow requirements and maintain system documentation.
• Create and execute data validation and unit testing processes to ensure data quality.
• Implement enhancements and resolve production issues as needed.
• Contribute to scalable cloud-based data solutions utilizing Databricks and modern data platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with relational databases in production environments.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience building and supporting SSIS packages.
• 2+ years of experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience in SQL performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience delivering high-quality, scalable database solutions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data transformations, and analytics.
• Experience working with distributed applications and cloud-based data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Experience using Python for data engineering activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AWS-based data environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms.
