In this role, you’ll identify innovative reusable solutions, investigate complex technical challenges, and develop strategic data solutions with a cross-functional perspective. Responsibilities:
Advanced Technical Leadership
- Design and build advanced reusable and automated frameworks for enterprise-scale data processing
- Architect platform features with comprehensive cross-functional view and strategic alignment
- Develop AI-powered solutions that drive measurable business outcomes
- Lead complex problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis for critical systems
- Create comprehensive data solutions that align with enterprise objectives and strategic goals
- Design and implement data modeling using relational and star schema architectures
- Build full-stack data solutions integrating multiple Azure services and cloud technologies
- Drive innovation in data processing, storage, and analytics capabilities
- Mentor junior and intermediate data engineers on advanced technical concepts and best practices
- Influence business and regulatory requirements through technical expertise and strategic recommendations
- Use storytelling and data visualization to build consensus across organizational levels
- Lead technical decision-making for complex data architecture and implementation choices
- Drive organizational value through strategic data engineering initiatives and AI implementation
- Impact Data Engineering strategy through thought leadership and technical innovation
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business strategy
- Champion data engineering best practices and standards across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline; Master’s degree preferred
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering with proven track record of technical leadership
- Demonstrated experience building enterprise-scale data solutions and frameworks
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical strategy
- Advanced Programming: Expert Python skills including inheritance, reflection, meta-programming, and advanced design patterns
- Full-Stack Capabilities: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data solution development
- Big Data & Streaming: Expert knowledge of Apache Spark, PySpark, Kafka, and distributed computing concepts
- Azure Services: Deep proficiency in Azure data services (Databricks, Azure Functions, Event Hubs), architecture, and cloud-native solutions
- Data Modeling: Advanced expertise in relational database design, star schema modeling, and data warehousing concepts
- AI/Automation: Proven experience implementing AI-powered solutions and automation frameworks at enterprise scale
- Architecture: Strong system design and architecture skills for complex data solutions and microservices
- Technical Skills (35%): Full-stack development, Azure proficiency, data modeling expertise, AI solution implementation
- Problem-Solving (30%): Framework development, AI solution ownership, platform feature design, complex system debugging
