A public sector organisation is undertaking a significant, multi-year business transformation - redesigning its operating model and building enterprise data foundations across Dynamics 365, Fabric, Dataverse and Azure.
They're seeking a Program Technical Lead – Data to provide senior, hands-on data leadership across the enterprise data foundation phase of the program. This role suits someone who wants deep, hands-on ownership of a program's data foundations - not just a governance framework on paper.
Based in Melbourne (hybrid, onsite requirement), reporting to the Data, Integration and Automation Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of the enterprise data strategy, governance framework and data management practices
- Establish and mature data governance - ownership, stewardship, standards, metadata and lifecycle management
- Lead data quality activities across transformation work packages - profiling, cleansing, validation, monitoring, remediation
- Support definition and governance of master data domains
- Lead development of program data models, data dictionaries and a common data vocabulary
- Provide senior data expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse and Azure data services (Dynamics experience a plus)
- Support data migration and validation to ensure new platforms launch with trusted data
- Uplift data capability across the organisation through mentoring and coaching
About You
- Extensive senior experience in data governance, data quality, MDM, data architecture, modelling or migration
- Experience providing senior advice and delivery leadership on major transformation, ERP, CRM or digital platform programs
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, Azure data services and modern data platforms (Fabric/Dynamics highly desirable)
- Advanced data quality management capability - profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, root cause analysis
- Strong grasp of privacy, information security, cyber security and regulatory obligations
- Relevant tertiary qualification in information systems, data management or analytics, or extensive equivalent experience
