Senior Java Developer

DWS is looking for a Senior Java Developer with deep backend development experience across Java, Oracle databases, PL/SQL and Azure cloud platforms. Joining a highly capable engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, integration and support of complex enterprise applications, while driving continuous improvement in software quality, automation and delivery practices. You will work closely with architects, business analysts, testers and fellow developers to deliver scalable, secure and reliable solutions using modern engineering approaches, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based services.

Role Requirements:

• Design, develop, integrate and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Support existing applications through maintenance, troubleshooting and defect resolution.
• Participate in the delivery of multiple projects within a collaborative product-based team.
• Communicate technical issues, risks and project updates clearly to Development Leads and Team Managers.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Developers and Testers throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to continual improvements in development processes, quality standards and delivery practices.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong commercial software development experience.
• Strong backend development experience using Java.
• Proven experience working with Oracle databases and PL/SQL
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins and Bamboo.
• Strong understanding of software design, development and integration principles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting complex enterprise applications.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with Node.js and/or C# development.
• Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE).
• Front-end development experience including HTML, CSS, Vue.js and React.
