This position is located in Atlanta, GA in a hybrid working environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Databricks/PySpark data pipelines supporting banking, payment, and enterprise data initiatives.
  • Build Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers using Databricks, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture patterns.
  • Develop ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and integration logic using Python, PySpark, Spark, and SQL.
  • Translate source system data and business rules into data mappings, governed data structures, and reusable transformation logic.
  • Support integration of core banking, card/payment, relational database, file, API, and streaming data sources into the lakehouse.
  • Develop data quality, reconciliation, validation, and exception handling processes to ensure accurate downstream data.
  • Assist with performance tuning, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support of Databricks pipelines and jobs.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, architects, business analysts, and banking SMEs throughout design, development, implementation, and support.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • 2+ years of data engineering or software development experience with exposure to enterprise data solutions.
  • Hands on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Python, Spark, and SQL.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and performing data ingestion, transformation, mapping, and validation.
  • Understanding of Delta Lake, medallion architecture, and Bronze/Silver/Gold data processing patterns.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Understanding of data modeling, including dimensional models, fact/dimension structures, star schemas, and SCD concepts.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, REST APIs, and Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to learn new banking systems, datasets, and technologies.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working with banking, core banking, credit card, or payment data.
  • Experience with ARGO or similar banking platforms.
  • Knowledge of ISO 8583, card authorization, settlement, ledger reconciliation, Visa/Mastercard processing, or BIN configuration.
  • Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and data governance concepts.
  • Exposure to streaming technologies such as Kafka and Spark Structured Streaming.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure.
  • Understanding of automated data quality, reconciliation, and data profiling frameworks.
  • Exposure to AI/GenAI enabled data engineering, including Azure OpenAI or LLM assisted data profiling.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 - $139,300.00.
