Senior Consultant – SAP Datasphere (People Intelligence)

Location: Remote (UKI, North America or EMEA Only)

Reporting to: Services Director

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Purpose

As a Senior Consultant specialising in SAP Datasphere, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of technical workstreams within People Intelligence projects. You will design and implement robust data models, integrate SAP SuccessFactors data, and ensure clean, optimised data delivery to front-end tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud.

You will also contribute to the development of internal assets and offerings, and support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise to customers exploring Datasphere as part of their data and analytics strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical workstreams for client projects involving SAP Datasphere and SAP SuccessFactors data.
  • Design, build and optimise virtual data models (VDMs) using SAP Datasphere.
  • Integrate and transform data from SAP and other sources, including SuccessFactors and Qualtrics.
  • Implement role-based access controls, automated refresh logic, and reusable artefacts.
  • Collaborate with functional and visualisation consultants to ensure semantic consistency across the full data-to-dashboard journey.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities by explaining Datasphere architecture and best practices to prospective clients.
  • Support the development of internal accelerators, delivery templates and documentation.
  • Participate occasionally in marketing and thought leadership activities such as webinars or blog writing.
  • Maintain awareness of SAP BTP, Data Marketplace, and Data Fabric concepts to inform solution design.

Decision-Making Responsibilities

The Senior Consultant will be responsible for making key technical and delivery decisions within their area of expertise. This includes:

  • Designing technical architectures and virtual data models within SAP Datasphere to meet project and customer requirements.
  • Selecting appropriate tools, modelling techniques, and optimisation strategies to ensure scalable and performant data solutions.
  • Determining how to structure and prepare SuccessFactors and related people data to support downstream reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Advising internal colleagues and client stakeholders on the technical feasibility, limitations, or trade-offs associated with data modelling decisions.
  • Deciding how to deliver technical work in a way that aligns with timelines, scopes, and quality expectations—balancing reusability with client-specific needs.
  • Managing their own workload and communication cadence, particularly in remote and cross-timezone contexts.
  • Contributing to decisions about internal delivery frameworks, accelerators and templates based on project experience and lessons learned.
  • While the consultant will not be accountable for project-wide decisions or client relationships, they are expected to take ownership of the technical success of their streams and to escalate issues or risks appropriately.

Essential

Skills and Experience

  • Proven expertise in SAP Datasphere, including hands-on modelling and optimisation.
  • Strong knowledge of SuccessFactors data structures or general HR metrics.
  • High proficiency in SQL and enterprise data architecture.
  • Demonstrated consulting experience, including a track record of delivering projects on time, on scope, and aligned to customer requirements.
  • Certification in SAP Datasphere (and ideally Business Data Cloud).
  • At least 8 years of experience in enterprise data platforms or comparable tools.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and delivery efficiency.
  • Experience working remotely and autonomously, including the ability to self-manage, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines without daily supervision.

Desirable

  • Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud and knowledge of front-end reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP, Data Marketplace, and SAP Data Fabric principles.
  • Experience working with Qualtrics or similar survey data.
  • Previous involvement in people analytics, HR reporting, or workforce planning projects.

Working Model

  • This role is fully remote, in line with 3n Strategy’s operating model.
  • You will work full-time from your home timezone but must be flexible to support customers in North America and Western Europe.
  • Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings or internal workshops.
