Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Location: Remote / Hybrid İstanbul / Hybrid İzmir

Reports To: CTO

Doktar Technologies is a leading Agritech company with a mission to revolutionize food systems through intensive use of data and data-driven decisions. Headquartered in the Netherlands with offices in Wageningen, Istanbul and Izmir, Doktar delivers a comprehensive suite of digital services across the entire agricultural value chain. Positioned as a one-stop shop for digital agriculture solutions, Doktar embraces emerging technologies such as remote sensing, internet of things, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

You’ll be working to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that powers a leading agriculture tech platform. You’ll enable the engineering team to deliver faster, safer, and with higher quality. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the foundation of our cloud infrastructure, security, and developer experience. You’ll grow into a highly capable infrastructure leader — mastering modern cloud practices, automation, and compliance — while mentoring others and expanding your influence across the entire engineering organization.

#Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure), covering capacity, usage, security, compliance, networking, cost control, disaster recovery, documentation, and performance.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Bicep and ARM templates to ensure reproducibility and consistency.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for the engineering team.
  • Remain hands-on with coding - using C# and PowerShell at the cloud administration level.
  • Provide tooling, templates, and automation that improve developer productivity and consistency.
  • Lead incident response activities, ensuring quick resolution and driving continuous improvement from incidents.
  • Maintain the platform within defined SLOs/SLIs for reliability and stability.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on infrastructure, deployment, and operational best practices, and align with architectural standards for long-term scalability.

#To be a good fit for the role, you need to:

  • Be a coder who owns Azure infrastructure and thinks in terms of platform-as-a-product — with internal teams, end users, and corporate customers as your stakeholders.
  • Be proactive about automation and eliminating manual work.
  • Care deeply about security, compliance, monitoring, cost, and reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be open to feedback, personal growth, and collaborative improvement.
  • Treat documentation and reproducibility as essential parts of your work.

#Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience owning and maintaining cloud infrastructure across all aspects.
  • Strong expertise with managed Azure cloud services and serverless paradigms (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep and ARM.
  • Solid experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security principles (identity, encryption, networking, compliance).
  • Experience implementing observability solutions in Azure using native tooling.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.

#You will have stronger chances if you:

  • Worked in environments with ISO 27001 or GDPR/KVKK compliance.
  • Have experience with cost optimization and Azure cost management.
  • Built or supported multi-region, highly available architectures.
  • Have familiarity with frontend/mobile CI/CD (build pipelines, app store automation).
  • Have experience mentoring or enabling teams through platform practices.

#What we offer:

  • An interesting and highly responsible job in a young and interdisciplinary team;
  • Participation in national & global-scale projects;
  • State-of-the-art technical facilities (software and communication tools);
  • Professional development opportunities;
  • Remote or hybrid work opportunity;
  • Performance-based yearly bonuses.
  • Company shares options;
  • Private health insurance covering family members under 22 years;
  • Monthly lunch and transportation support.
