About the Role
We are seeking a Senior AI Agent Engineer to lead the development of AI-powered programming agents for clinical trial statistical programming.
You will build end-to-end intelligent programming solutions that integrate domain knowledge bases, internal processes, clinical programming standards, departmental code repositories, and multi-agent workflows. The role will focus on automating code generation, standards validation, test generation, error handling, and iterative optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI Agents for clinical statistical programming.
- Build and maintain RAG-based knowledge bases integrating CDISC, SDTM, ADaM, statistical methodologies, internal processes, and historical project experience.
- Integrate multi-agent systems with internal code repositories and programming workflows.
- Enable Agents to generate reliable and regulatory-compliant SAS, R, and Python code and documentation.
- Establish quality evaluation, testing, exception handling, security, and audit mechanisms for Agent-generated code.
- Work with programmers, statisticians, medical teams, data managers, and IT engineers to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Evaluate emerging LLM and Agent technologies and drive production-level implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in software development, clinical programming, or related areas.
- Hands-on experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and knowledge base development.
- Experience delivering at least one production-deployed Agent system and contributing substantially to at least two knowledge base projects.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar Agent frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with APIs, asynchronous processing, databases, middleware, and production deployment.
- Understanding of clinical trials, statistical analysis, SAS/R/Python, CDISC, SDTM, and ADaM.
- Strong system design, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
