Data Consultant (Databricks)

We are seeking an experienced Databricks Consultant to embed directly within our client’s analytics team. This client-facing role will be executed remotely from Ho Chi Minh City, the consultant will act as the key bridge between business stakeholders and technical data infrastructure. This consultant will evaluate existing data warehouse architectures, translate complex business requirements into scalable data pipelines, and design high-impact reports and dashboards to drive executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Requirements Gathering: Partner with the customer’s business units to understand operational workflows, key performance indicators (KPIs), and strategic reporting needs.
• Architecture Assessment: Analyze and evaluate existing data warehouse models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data sources within the enterprise environment.
• Databricks Solution Engineering: Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake) to consolidate disparate data sources into clear analytics layer structures (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Reporting & Visualization: Develop actionable reports, operational dashboards, and analytics solutions using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks SQL Dashboards).
• Stakeholder Management & Consulting: Translate complex technical concepts for business leadership and deliver end-user training on new reports and analytics tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Should have at least 5–8 years total experience, with 3–5 years focused on Databricks and BI tools.
• Databricks Expertise: Strong practical experience with the Databricks Lakehouse platform, Delta Lake architecture, Spark SQL, and PySpark.
• Data Warehousing & Modeling: Proven background in enterprise data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas), and data pipeline optimization.
• BI & Visualization: Expertise in building production-grade dashboards using standard enterprise BI tools (Power BI preferred).
• Business Analysis: Demonstrated capability to conduct stakeholder interviews, author functional/technical specifications, and convert business questions into technical data models.
• Language Requirements: Professional fluency in English; conversational or professional is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional.
• Prior consulting experience in automotive, retail, or supply chain domains.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
